About Me
Hello, my name is Pamela, and I am the owner and operator of Love & Learning Family Child Care. My students call me Ms. Pam, so you can too! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a natural with children, and I love watching them learn, grow, and develop into their own uniqueness.
I am very patient and have a mild-mannered, easy-going personality. Kind, loving, and caring are all words often used to describe me. I am also detail-oriented and thrive on organization, and so this is how I operate my day care program. You will always know what's going on at any time, and your questions will always be answered.
I have over 25 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. I have experience as a family child care provider, and as a preschool owner, director, and teacher. Just as equally important, I have nearly 30 years of on-the-job experience as a mother to three wonderful children!
My husband, children and I moved to Georgia from California in 2007. In California, where I lived for nearly 25 years, I operated a successful in-home child care facility (Patterson Family Day Care) for a total of 6 years, I also owned and operated an accomplished commercial child care center (Little Scholars Learning Academy) for about the same amount of time.
Locally, I worked as an Assistant Director at Kids R' Kids before deciding to resign in order to open my current child care business of 15 years: Love & Learning Family Child Care. This decision allowed me to earn a decent living, spend more quality time with my own children, and do what I do best: teaching, nurturing, and caring for children of all ages!
My additional qualifications and credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Business Marketing; an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education; a California Child Development Teaching Credential; a CDA (Child Development Associate): 40-hour Director Training Certification; CPR & First Aid; and a local and national criminal background clearance. I am a member of several child care associations, and I take training classes on an ongoing basis. As you can see, child care is a true passion of mine.
One of my other passions is decorating and organizing, so in my spare time, I enjoy working in my other business, Organization To The Rescue, LLC, where I organize and stage homes. I also love cooking, baking, crafting, and reading. I enjoy shopping at garage sales and consignment stores looking for great bargains. On the weekends, I like spending quality time with my husband and children. As a family, we enjoy going to the movies and traveling to fun and exciting places.
